What are your published works, and what are you working on?
I currently have 4 self-published books out at the moment, 2 are in the Zombie horror category in my ‘Alone’ series and I am currently writing the last one to that series as we speak. I’ve also written another Zombie horror one which I have sent to a magazine publishing competition and am awaiting any news from that, if not I will likely self-publish that one too around the new year. My other 2 published works are in the Fantasy genre.
If someone was just hearing about you for the first time what 1 thing would you want them to know?
I love Zombies!!! It just has to be said.
Did you always want to be a writer?
Yes. As a teenager I wanted to be a journalist but I was to afraid to go to university and leave my family so I went and done hairdressing instead at my local college but I always wrote when I got home. It wasn’t until I had my youngest and was home on maternity that I wrote my first book and then self-published it. I think it has always been in me but I had to wait until the right time to do it.
What has been the biggest adventure of your life?
My children, they drive me up the wall sometimes and don’t understand that mummy now writes for a living and doesn’t do hair anymore but I love them to pieces and wouldn’t change them for the world.
If zombie apocalypse were to happen tomorrow would you be prepared?
Hell no. I always leave food shopping till the last minute so would probably have no food stored BUT I do always make sure my cars has fuel so if one did occur I could drive to rescue my babies and my husband.
What 3 things do you feel everyone should have to be ready for a survival situation?
A weapon, even if not a zombie outbreak you still might have to fight for your loved ones. Food, cause you need to eat to survive. And water, also the biggest thing you need to survive.
Who would you want with you if civilized society fell apart?
Family – Especially my husband and babies. I know he would protect us no matter what, plus he’s handy with fishing, camping and general out doorsy man stuff. Plus I would need him to save me from Spiders. Zombies I can handle but spiders…Um no.
What 2 books would be in your bug out bag, knowing you would have to read them over and over?
City of the dead by S.D.Perry – It’s a book adaption on the Resident Evil 2 game by Capcom and I have already read it hundreds of times over so it wouldn’t bother me reading it hundreds of times again.
The enemy by Charlie Higson – Just because its one of my favourite Zombie novels.
If we were thrown into the dark ages what would you miss most?
My Laptop and phone. I need them to write haha.
What is the most surprising fact about you?
My surname / Husbands surname is connected to the Bronte sisters who are famous authors!!! But although I’m not blood related like he might be I still like to add it on to my writing CV as it sounds pretty impressive haha.
