What are your published works, and what are you working on?

My published works are the first two books of my Autumn Series,
Autumn’s Calling: The Outbreak & Autumn’s Calling: The Battle
I’m currently working on two stand-alone novels, Moon Child and Mountain Madness.
Moon Child is about a sheltered young girl growing up in an old coal mining town with an intense overbearing mother that physically and mentally abuses her everyday of her life. The girl grows up to realize she is half witch and will learn to escape her terrible mother and comes into her newfound powers.
Mountain Madness stemmed from a dream I had about a chemical leak that makes people of the Appalachian Mountains go mad. It will focus on a young couple going home to visit the family farm when the citizens that dwell deep within the mountains start killing each other when affected by the airborne chemical.

If someone was just hearing about you for the first time what 1 thing would you want them to know?

That I am an absolute horror fanatic. My world revolves around horror books, movies, Halloween, etc. I am so passionate about the genre and have been since I was a small child. I’m honestly a total wuss when it comes down to it, but I still love the thrill and gore of it all.

Did you always want to be a writer?

I think I always had the desire to write, but never thought I would be any good at it. Then my best-friend, Sara, challenged me to write a book… and the rest is history.

What has been the biggest adventure of your life?

Probably traveling with my husband. We have become quite obsessed with taking cruises to exotic places.

If zombie apocalypse were to happen tomorrow would you be prepared?

Absolutely! My husband and I are very equipped for anything that is thrown at us. We target practice on a regular basis and I’m confident that we would make it.

What 3 things do you feel everyone should have to be ready for a survival situation?

Food, water and weapons

Who would you want with you if civilized society fell apart?

My husband and my parents. Both my husband and my dad are very intelligent and can build/fix anything. They would do everything possible to keep my mom and I safe.

What 2 books would be in your bug out bag, knowing you would have to read them over and over?

Stephen King’s Desperation & The Bible

If we were thrown into the dark ages what would you miss most?

Television, social media, and Chick-fila 😁

What is the most surprising fact about you?

To balance my crazy horror obsession out, my actual career title is floral designer. I have been working, and loving, in the floral industry for 7 years now. Gotta make time to smell the roses 🌹

The Outbreak- (book 1)

Autumn Reed is a small town nurse fresh out of college and soon to be wife of Luke Davis, a business major/car salesman. Until she comes home after a grueling double shift at the hospital to find him estranged and violently hungry, which takes her by complete surprise and soon after begins to terrify her. Afraid for her life, Autumn and her sweet dog, Daisy, go on the run leaving the town she has always known as home, to a safe haven hidden off of the main highway and hours away from the abusive Luke. She feels a sense of serenity and peace at her new hideaway and comes to meet a new stranger. But her feeling of safety is soon destroyed when the dead begin to walk the earth. An unknown virus strain breaks loose and consumes many at an extremely rapid rate, turning citizens along the West Coast into decomposing ghouls with an insatiable hunger for the flesh of the living. She must find the strength within to fight and survive, or succumb to the ravenous beasts and die. Autumn will unfold a side of herself that she didn’t know she had, and will stop at nothing to save those she loves.

The Battle (book 2)

Autumn and her family have settled into their hardware store since the virus outbreak devoured most of humankind. She falls in love with the handsome Leland and adapts to surviving the haunted world outside. Little do they know, a greater sinister force is waiting in the shadows. The growing horde of flesh-eaters will soon be the least of their worries as they save a seemingly helpless young man, Alastor, and allow him into their safe house. But when Alastor appears to be earning the group’s trust, he betrays Autumn and takes her away from the group. She becomes his prisoner and learns the truth behind who he truly is. Autumn plummets into a pit of misery that she’s convinced she will never return from. A new world is revealed that she never believed existed. She will go to great lengths to ensure her survival from the evil surrounding her. She must escape the man who stole her from her family, no matter the cost.
