What are your published works, and what are you working on?
I have four published books on Amazon and other retailer sites for my Afflicted series.
Book 0 – Genesis
Book 1 – Patient Zero
Book 2 – RipTide
2 Book Bundle (Books 0-1) Genesis and Patient Zero
I’ve recently finished the 4th installment in the Afflicted series, Dead Reckoning, which will be released later this month. I will also be offering a 2 Book Bundle deal as well for Books 2-3, RipTide and Dead Reckoning.
I’m planning to start a whole new series in the next couple of months which I’m excited about. I’ve actually got a good portion of the series written and it’s been sitting in my “vault” of written works. Thought it was time to dust it off and bring it out. I don’t want to give too much away just yet but it is set in a post-apocalyptic America and involves some high-tech machines. I’ve also got another zombie series that I’m going to start after this series coming up. So lots of great books coming to the readers!
If someone was just hearing about you for the first time what 1 thing would you want them to know?
I am very passionate about my writing and that I try to bring something different and exciting to the readers. My books, especially the Afflicted series, is not your typical run of the mill zombie story. I wanted to add some twist and turns to the story to give the readers a different way to look at the zombie genre.
Did you always want to be a writer?
Actually, I never saw myself as a writer even though I’ve always had a great imagination. It was something that I just sort of fell into many years back. But I will say that once I got the “writing” bug, I was definitely hooked from that point on.
What has been the biggest adventure of your life?
To be honest, there are many but the biggest is probably going down the rabbit hole of becoming an author. Being able to produce stories from my own imagination and put it out all over the world for people to enjoy. That’s one heck of an adventure.
If zombie apocalypse were to happen tomorrow would you be prepared?
I feel that I would be. In the end, I would do what was needed for me and family to survive.
What 3 things do you feel everyone should have to be ready for a survival situation?
Food, shelter, and the realization that you will have to kill. Food and shelter are kind of basic but the last is extremely important. Weapons are pretty much useless if the person doesn’t want to kill the undead.
Who would you want with you if civilized society fell apart?
My family and close friends. In the end, you need to be surrounded by those who you know will have your back regardless of the situation. I think we would pose a pretty intimidating force to be reckoned with.
What 2 books would be in your bug out bag, knowing you would have to read them over and over?
For me, first and foremost, it would have to be the Bible. The second book I’d probably want to take would be J.L. Bourne’s Day By Day Armageddon. Great book.
If we were thrown into the dark ages what would you miss most?
Being able to communicate easily with friends and family that do not live close.
What is the most surprising fact about you?
To be honest, most people are surprised that I’ve written as many books as I have. Currently, I have roughly 3 different series that I have just sitting in my “vault”. Writing is hard work and you have to be very disciplined and stay the course when you feel that the story isn’t going in the direction you want it to.
I always hear from my family, friends, and readers that they would love to write a book but they don’t feel that they could see it through.
I tell them it’s like anything else in life. If you’re really passionate about it, then it’s much easier to do.
